Basic Quiche Recipe from Silver Palate Cookbook

Here is a great basic quiche recipe - I remember making these for my daughter's 1st Holy Communion party and really good:

1 1/2 C. Heavy Cream
3 Eggs
salt, pepper,  1 Teas. grated nutmeg and grated crackle barrel cheese (3/4 C) Any sharp cheese is good
Makes 30 inch tarts (buy the Pepperidge Farm tarts in the Frozen Isle of your grocery store) or 1 Quiche

Saute Red and Yellow peppers, onions and mushrooms - Add to the basic quiche recipe

Of course, if you want asparagus, spinach, or broccoli, you can cook your vegetable and then add it to the basic quiche recipe.  I like the pepper, onion and mushroom.

You can also use equal parts of Ham and Gruyere and some dijon mustard and add it to the basic quiche recipe.  I believe its 350 for 45 min. - 1 hr. to cook.    Enjoy
